Access a Course as a Learner

Learn how to access a course as a learner. 

An administrator must first create an assignment before learners are able to access any courses. Afterwards, learners will be able to log in to Foundry and access only the courses they have been assigned.

  1. Once the assignment starts, all learners that have been assigned will receive an email inviting them to complete the course
  2. Upon clicking the Log In button, the learner will arrive at the Foundry Log In page for your organization and will be prompted to set up their password (if they are not SSO). 
  3. After the learner logs in (either with their login credentials or via SSO), they will be directed to the Learner Dashboard
  4. The Learner Dashboard shows the learner’s open and completed courses. Open courses will display the amount of time remaining with a progress bar underneath.
    • New courses that a learner is accessing for the first time will have a Start button. Click the button to launch the course.
    • Courses that a learner has already started will have a Continue button. Click the button to launch the course where you left off without losing any progress from prior sessions

Note: When logging in to Foundry, you can have up to 5 failed login attempts before we lock your account temporarily for security purposes. If you attempt to log in with an incorrect password 5 times in a row, your account will be locked for 10 minutes before you can try again. If you have forgotten your password, you can request a password reset by clicking the Forgot Password? link.
