Foundry: Resetting a Password as a Learner
Learn how to reset a password for a learner.
To reset your password as a learner (non-SSO):

Go to your log in page and click “Forgot Password”.

Enter the email address you used to register with.

You will then be sent an email with a link to change your password.
If you do not receive the email, please check your spam folder.
Your password:
- Must include characters from at least three of these four categories: uppercase letters, lowercase letters, numbers, and special symbols (!@#$%*).
- Must contain at least 12 characters
- Must never include an indicator of time (example: Winter24)
- Must be different from previous 6 passwords
Password Restrictions:
The password must not contain any of these words related to company, brand and product names, fields related to date/calendar/time, personally identifiable information (PII), or the actual word “password”. Forbidden words include:

Any of the 12 month names: January, February, …, December. English or Spanish.

Seasons: winter; spring; summer ;fall; autumn, plus the Spanish words for the same seasons (invierno; primavera; verano; pero)

Names of the 7 days of the week: Monday, Tuesday, etc., plus plus the Spanish words

The actual word “password”, or variations like p@$$w0rd.

Any 4 digit number between 1900 and the current year plus 5 years ahead

Something that looks like it might be a calendar date, e.g. 12312023 or 310583 and possibly other formats that look date-like.

Any of the specific user’s own data including: first name, last name, organization name, email, parent email, SSO ID, username, employee ID or student ID.
Password Best Practices:
Pass phrases are recommended for passwords. Think of a phrase and use the first letter in each word as your letter string for your password and append characters.
