Just-In-Time User Provisioning
Get an overview of Just-In-Time User Provisioning.
Foundry SSO supports optional Just-in-Time (JIT) User provisioning for organizations that require this functionality. JIT allows for a user to be created in Foundry during the single sign-on event if that user does not already exist in the system. In other words, users are created just-in-time as they arrive to Foundry and not in advance.
In some scenarios, JIT is a convenient solution for provisioning users in Foundry, but this practice is appropriate only in a few scenarios. How do you know if JIT is right for your learners and organization?
- As part of the Workplace Culture Network, JIT usually is not the right solution unless every learner in your organization is assigned the same learning activities. If you assign learning activities in a more personalized way, then JIT is not right for you.
By default, the ability for you to enable and configure JIT is turned off. If you believe your organization needs JIT, contact your Account Manager to discuss.
