Training Progress Report

Learn all about the Training Progress Report.

This interactive dashboard displays progress and completion records for assigned courses. It was designed to simplify the experience to see the critical data administrators want with the focus on assignments. The components of the report are explained in detail below. This report is only available for Primary Administrators.

Things to keep in mind:

  • The Training Progress Report is one day behind in showing real-time information. Please allow for a day for the data to update.  The Training Progress Report also refreshes nightly.

  • The Training Progress Report completion data cut off is 1pm EST. This means that if a learner completes their course after 1pm, the system will consider it the previous day and you as the admin will not see it until the following day. So, for example, a learner completes an exam on June 4th before 1pm EST (the cut off). The system will not show completion data until June 6th because it takes one day to update.

  • In order for any download to work correctly, the "Prepare for Download" option must have "Yes" selected before clicking "Download." Flipping this switch essentially pulls all the data to be downloaded.

Overview

In this interactive report, we removed the list of filters along the left navigation to more closely align with how administrators consume this data. At the top of the report, there are 5 top-level filters to select from that will filter the data in the various charts below. From there, the data can be filtered further by clicking into the various elements which will then only highlight the relevant data in the other charts. For example: In the Courses chart if Managing Bias is selected, then all the other data will reflect that in relation to that course.

Overall Filters

Across the top of the report, there are 5 drop-down options that allow administrators to filter the data at the top-most level.

Participation Status

Filter out assignments based on their status. Options are Assigned, Closed, SCORM.

Past Due

Only display progress data for learners who have an incomplete assignment that is past due.

Policies Missing

Only display progress data for learners who are missing a signed required policy.

SCORM

Displays data and progress records for users who use the SCORM integration. These records are primarily used as a backup database for the main records in each organization's specific LMS.

Available Charts

By selecting a segment in each of these charts, the rest of the data on this dashboard will filter accordingly. To multi-select an element on the chart, an administrator can drag their mouse over the desired elements or click in addition to Command or Control.

Training Period Completion Rate

Course Completion Rate

All learning activities included in assignments in your account.

Assignments

All assignments created in your account. This can be filtered using the "Participation Status" at the top of the dashboard.

Progress by Status

These statuses are based on the learner for their assignments. This can be filtered by Completed, In Progress, and Not Started

Segment Analysis

Parse completion data based on your account's learner segments. This filter will apply to the Progress Status, Segment Analysis, and Progress Detail sections. The Segment Analysis options are:

  • Location
  • Category
  • My Lists (Quick Lists)
  • Teams (if available)

There are two levels of filters within this section: Segment Analysis and Segment By. Once the Segment Analysis is selected, data can be further broken down by the option selected in Segment By.

For example, an administrator first selects Location for the Segment Analysis which will reorganize the data by Location set in the account. Then, the administrator can pick Category Name for the Segment By option and that will break down the data further into the custom categories within each Location.

Progress Detail

This is a list of all the learners who were assigned a course. By default, this list shows each learner and their assignments per row so a name may appear multiple times if they were assigned multiple courses. This list will adjust to reflect filters selected in the other charts above. Additionally, administrators can select to display the top 50, 100, or 1,000 users and search for by name if they are looking for a particular learner.

The columns in this table are:

  • User Email
  • Last Name
  • First Name
  • Course Name
  • Progress Status
  • Day of Completed At
  • Time Focused on Platform: Platform-level estimate that can be referenced for general training management. This timer can be used to support general training management to get an idea of how long a user is spending on Foundry logged in overall.
