Users (for SCORM)
Learn about your Users when utilizing SCORM.
For SCORM, since your LMS or HRIS is already managing administrative matters like users and assignments, EVERFI and Foundry do not take on this role.
You should know that you will not need to upload users or learners into Foundry and you will not need to create a single sign on. This is because when a learner views one of our courses, per the SCORM protocol, the LMS/HRIS will automatically provide to Foundry the ID of the LMS/HRIS user.
The user data that is stored in Foundry is LMS employee ID, first name, last name, and your organization's address. This employee ID is the primary identifier of your user. It could be an email address, a username, or an ID depending on your configuration. In Foundry, the value that gets saved is cmi.core.employee_id which gets saved into the user’s SSO ID Field. If the user comes back multiple times, then Foundry will match the user ID based on the employee ID and let them resume the learning activity where they left off.
